Typhoon is very late flowering, with a long growing period that provides high quality hay and silage production and a long grazing period prior to flowering. Typhoon produces an upright, long season, annual legume with large leaves, hollow soft stems and excellent winter/spring growth.
Sow Typhoon as a sole pasture or as part of a mix in grazing, hay and silage systems with medium to high rainfall.
Sowing rate (sole): 8 – 10kg/ha
Sowing rate (mixed): 2 – 5kg/ha
*Typhoon has demonstrated similar “days to first flower” as Shaftal based on an early May sowing in Perth, Western Australia
